Hi @LFB52,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you change your ISP, your HP Deskjet 2540 may lose its WiFi connection and need to be reconnected to the new network. The flashing blue light indicates that the printer is no longer connected to WiFi. Here's how you can reconnect it.

Steps to Reconnect Your Printer to WiFi:

Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer at the same time for about 5 seconds. This will reset the wireless settings.

Reinstall the Printer on Your Device:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Add your printer again by selecting Set up a new printer.
  • Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your new WiFi network.

Using WPS (if your router supports it):

  • Press the WPS button on your router.
  • Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the light starts blinking. The printer should connect automatically.

Manual Setup via USB:

  • Temporarily connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable.
  • Use the HP Printer Assistant or HP Smart app to enter your new WiFi credentials.
  • Disconnect the USB cable after the wireless setup is complete.

After following these steps, the blue light should stop flashing, and your printer should be back online with the new network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
