Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. Please check this article for more information: "HPxxxxx.framework" will damage your computer" message in macOS Catalina or Mojave .

Printer offline

HP Recommended
HP Envy 7640

My laptop, tablet and iPhone all day my printer is offline. If I look at the printer screen it says it is connected to the internet. So confused. Please help!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's restore the network settings on the Printer: Go tot the setup menu>network setup menu>Restore Network Settings>yes

 

Once done, connect the printer to the Wi-Fi again:

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch (Wireless). 2. Touch ( Settings . 3. Touch Wireless Settings. 4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard. 5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

 

Do see if the Printer shows offline post this.
