Help! I've been using this printer for years with no issues. we recently changed our internet from Xfinity to ATT Fiber. Everything in the house that we're connected to works just fine with ATT, except my printer. I've done everything in my power to get it offline and it just is not working. I've used HPSmart, connected & disconnected everything, inninstalled, uninstalled, drivers, the printer, you name it and it just is not working. It's connected to our home internet, the same network my computer is on and still nothing. I desperately need this printer to work ...can anyone help???

Hi @Laney47,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've tried a lot of the usual troubleshooting steps. Here are some additional steps you might try to get your HP OfficeJet 4650 back online.
Check Printer Status and Connection
- Verify Network Connection: Make sure your printer is still connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can print a network configuration page from the printer's control panel to confirm this.
- Check IP Address: Ensure the IP address on the printer matches the one assigned by your router. You can find this in the printer’s network settings.
Update Printer Settings
- Update Printer Driver: Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Reconfigure Printer: Use the HP Smart app to set up the printer again. Go to “Add a Printer” and follow the prompts.
Check Printer Queue
- Clear Print Queue: On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any pending jobs and restart the print spooler service.
Network and Firewall Settings
- Restart Router and Printer: Power cycle your router and printer. Turn them off, wait a minute, and turn them back on.
- Firewall and Security: Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the printer. Add exceptions for the printer in your firewall settings.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and Run: Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This utility can automatically diagnose and resolve many printing and scanning issues.
Check for Network Conflicts
- IP Address Conflict: Ensure there’s no IP address conflict on your network. You can assign a static IP address to the printer from the printer’s network settings.
Reinstall Printer
- Uninstall and Reinstall: If none of the above work, completely uninstall the printer from your computer. Restart your computer, and then reinstall the printer using the HP Smart app or the downloaded drivers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
