Hi @Irasema22,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you set up a new modem and router, your printer may need to be reconnected to the new network. Here’s how you can resolve the "offline" issue:

Restart Everything: Turn off your printer, modem, and router. Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on.

Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi.

  • For HP Printers with a touchscreen:
    • Go to the Network or Wireless settings on the printer's display.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Setup and follow the prompts to connect to your new network.
  • For HP Printers without a touchscreen:
    • Use the printer's control panel buttons to navigate to Setup or Wireless settings.
    • Follow the instructions to select your new network and enter the password.

Reinstall the Printer Software: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software can help.

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest driver and software for your printer model.
  • Follow the installation instructions and choose the option to set up the printer on a wireless network.

Check Printer Status on Your Computer:

  • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select See what's printing. Make sure it is set as the default printer and check if there are any pending jobs.
  • On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Select your printer and click Open Print Queue. Ensure the printer is set as the default and there are no pending jobs.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (for Windows):

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. It can diagnose and fix many common printing issues.

Update Network Settings:

  • Ensure your printer has the correct IP address. You can check this from the printer's network settings and compare it with your router's DHCP settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
