If the Wi-Fi is connected and AirPrint is active, but the HP OfficeJet 7740 is not printing, the issue is usually a corrupted print job or a minor network glitch.

Try these steps in order to fix the issue:

1. Reboot Order (Power Cycle): This clears all temporary network and printer errors.

• Turn off the printer.

• Turn off your computer and your router.

• Wait 60 seconds.

• Turn the router back on and wait for all lights to be stable.

• Turn the printer back on.

• Turn the computer back on.

2. Clear Print Spooler (Windows): A corrupted print job often gets stuck.

• Search Windows for "Services."

• Find "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click it, and select "Restart."

• Go to your printer queue and try to delete any stuck jobs.

3. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: This free HP tool automatically diagnoses and fixes most connection and driver issues. Search for and run the official "HP Print and Scan Doctor" for your computer.

If none of those steps work, you may need to temporarily disable AirPrint/Wireless Direct and try printing a test page directly from the printer's front panel to confirm the hardware is working.
