HP Deskjet 2549
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer won't print anything but a test and diagnostic page. The HP Print and Scan Doctor gives me no clue.

There seems to be nothing in the que.

There is no error message, no paper jam, nothing.

Earlier there was nothing in the que. There may be now, but it won't print.

 No lights....

I have unplugged, and reset.

My WIFI connection is fine.

@lauradean, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Do you see no lights on the printer or the power button when the printer is on?

If the printer is able to print a test page, it means the hardware of the printer is working fine.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Are you using the HP Smart app to print?

Reinstall the HP Smart app on the computer from the Microsoft store. Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
