Common problems for Connectivity Issues

HP ENVY 6052 All-In-One Printer

My printer is not printing anythong. I print usually from my iPhone and when I go to print (click the outgoing button on a photo then click print), it says no air printers found. My printer isn’t showing up. If I go to HP Print app, my printer is connected, no issues, supply levels are good and it says I’m connected.  If I try to print from HP Smart app, it says my printer needs to be optimized then it will print. But nothing is happening when I do that.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY 6052 All-In-One Printer is having trouble syncing properly with AirPrint and HP Smart. 

Here's what you can try to resolve this:
 

Step 1: Restart the Printer and iPhone

  1. Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Restart your iPhone by turning it off and back on.
  3. After a few minutes, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Step 2: Reset Network Settings on the Printer

Reset the printer's network settings:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button at the same time until the power light blinks.
  • This will reset the wireless settings on your printer.

Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi:

  • On your iPhone, open the HP Smart app.
  • Tap the plus sign (+) to add a new printer if your printer doesn't automatically appear.
  • Follow the steps to reconnect your printer to the Wi-Fi network.

Step 3: Recheck AirPrint Availability

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and make sure you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
  2. Try to print again by going to a photo or document, selecting the share icon, and tapping Print.
    • Ensure that AirPrint is enabled on the printer through the HP Smart app.

Step 4: HP Smart Optimization 

If the HP Smart app still prompts you to "optimize" the printer but nothing happens, try these additional steps:

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Remove the printer from the app by tapping the printer name and selecting Remove Printer.
  3. Add the printer back by tapping the plus sign (+) and following the setup instructions again.
  4. When prompted to optimize, follow the instructions closely.

Step 5: Update Firmware and Apps Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date via the HP Smart app or printer settings.
  2. Make sure the HP Smart app and iOS are updated to the latest version.
