How on earth do I get in contact with HP? I’ve tried the whatsapp group with no response in 3 days. Bought a new printer after reading the reviews and wow! I didn’t think this would be that hard. So I’ve printed off the set up/changed the wifi to HP set up/ entered password. This only seems to work if I change my wifi over to this which took 2 days. We haven’t used the print in 24 hours and now it’s asking to set up again but having the same issue. Is it worth sending this printer back as it was a present but this hassle over a printer is not worth it and should be set up automatically one connecting to wifi. I cannot connect it to my wifi so some reason. Tried WPS and go through the instructions etc. Now I’m thinking ive got to set up the printer every time I use it. HP 4122 or it comes up as 4100

I've heard varying opinions about WhatsApp - (at this writing) we don't use it in my location.

I read at the Website that (presumably) the conversation is saved until someone can answer.

No idea, really...

 

You could try contacting HP Support directly without using the app.

Contact details are included near the end of this message.

 

What about the printer?

 

I can offer some setup suggestions and information for your HP DeskJet Plus 4122 printer.

Having never used one of these models, I cannot tell you what is going to be helpful...

 

BTW:  Yes, for most intents and purposes, your printer is a "4100".

If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz,

If you have trouble with the printer staying connected,

Consider

Set the router to broadcast on both bands

Assign a separate SSID network name to each bandwidth

The wireless password can be the same for both bands

Connect the printer to the bandwidth you intend to use

  • Register your product during first setup or soon afterwards

  • Check the Warranty on your product

           Warranty Check – Single or Multiple Devices

 

 

       NOTE:  If the single-system-check fails to find your device, use the "multiple devices" method to

check single or multiple devices.

 

  • If necessary, Select your Country on the main website page or at the bottom (click Flag)
  • Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
  • Enter the Serial Number and Country for one or more devices / systems to be checked
  • Check the box to verify you are "Not a robot"
  • Click Submit (at bottom of list entries)
  • When the page opens, Click View Details
