HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

Hi, we changed router a month ago, so set up printer and computer to new network.  No issues, all printing fine.   HP smart app can see printer is online fine, but HPInstaInk does not see the printer as online anymore, so i cannot change my plan etc and see how much printing has been done.

There is a conflict somehow - i have reset printer and reconnected to wifi again, but InstaInk keeps saying printer is not connected to the internet.  Don't know what else to do...switched everything off and back on again....

@Clare79, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Instant Ink Connectivity Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like your HP Instant Ink service is unable to recognize your HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer as being online, even though the HP Smart app indicates that the printer is connected properly. This issue can arise due to several reasons, such as network changes, printer configuration mismatches, or other connectivity issues. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

Ensure Stable Internet Connection:

  • Make sure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure that your router is working properly and has a continuous internet connection.

Reconnect Printer to Network:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Go to your printer’s control panel settings and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network by entering the correct network credentials.

Verify Printer Connection in HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device and ensure that the printer shows as connected.
  • Sometimes, you may need to remove the printer from the HP Smart app and add it again to ensure a proper connection.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates via the printer’s control panel or HP’s support website.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • On your printer’s control panel, navigate to the network settings.
  • Select the option to reset network settings, then reconnect the printer to your network.

Reconnect HP Instant Ink Account:

  • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account.
  • Navigate to your printer settings within the account and follow the prompts to reconnect your printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
