Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My HP 6065e printer stopped connecting to Wifi - the wifi symbol will not light up at all, not even blinking. I tried restarting the printer, restarting the router, pressing the wifi button for 3 seconds, pressing the wifi and cancel button for 3 seconds, and all those other suggestions on the website. I have no way of accessing the printer settings, make the printer forget the network, reset network settings, or updating the printer firmware, etc. because my old laptop broke and won't turn on due to water damage and my new laptop hasn't been connected to this printer yet. I'm desperate.

Hi @cvccv1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP 6065e printer has stopped connecting to Wi-Fi. Here's a condensed troubleshooting guide based on the provided content to address connectivity issues:

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Check Wireless Light:

  • Ensure the wireless (802.11) light on the printer’s control panel is turned on.
  • If the light is off or not lighting up, wireless capabilities might be turned off.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer, and then unplug the power cord.
  • Restart your router by turning it off, waiting for 10 seconds, and turning it back on.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on after restarting the router.

Reposition Devices:

  • Move the printer closer to the router to improve wireless signal strength.
  • Avoid physical obstructions and electronic devices that might interfere with the signal.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

Network Configuration Report:

  • Print a network configuration page to check the current network settings and verify the network status.
  • Refer to a network configuration page or wireless test report for further insights.

Run Wireless Network Test:

  • Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to Wireless Settings and print a Wireless Network Test Report. This report will offer recommendations to resolve issues.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Official HP® Support. This may require accessing the settings through a direct connection if unavailable over Wi-Fi.

Restore Network Settings:

  • On printers with a touchscreen, go to the Wireless or Setup menu and select Restore Network Settings to reset Wi-Fi configurations.
  • For printers without a touchscreen, refer to HP's support site on how to restore Wi-Fi setup mode.

Power Cycle Your Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and any connected devices. Power them back on in the order: router first, printer second, and other devices last.

Advanced Network Checks:

  • Ensure the router’s 2.4 GHz frequency is enabled, as many HP printers connect through this frequency.
  • Verify there are no restrictions or IP address filtering set up on the router that might prevent the printer from connecting to the network.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
