Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand the concern. If your HP Laser Pro 127 was previously printing at the correct size and has suddenly started printing content at approximately 1/4 of the expected size, this is often related to a print scaling, paper size, driver, or application print setting mismatch.
Please try the following steps:
Verify the paper size configured in Windows:
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP Laser Pro 127.
- Open Printing Preferences.
- Confirm the paper size is set correctly (for example, Letter or A4, depending on your region).
- Ensure scaling is set to Actual Size or 100%.
Check the printer driver settings:
- In Printing Preferences, look for options such as:
- Multiple Pages per Sheet
- N-up Printing
- Poster Printing
- Booklet Printing
- Make sure all of these are disabled and that 1 page per sheet is selected.
Test from a different application:
- Print a simple document from Notepad or another application.
- If the output size is normal, the issue may be related to the original application's print settings.
Refresh the HP printer software:
- Remove the existing printer from Printers & scanners.
- Restart the computer.
- Re-add the printer using HP App and allow Windows to reinstall the latest printer configuration.
Print an internal printer report:
- If the printer's internal configuration or demo page prints at the correct size, the printer hardware is functioning normally and the issue is likely within the Windows print settings or driver configuration.
To help us narrow this down further, could you confirm:
- Does the reduced-size printing occur from all applications or only one specific program?
- If you print a Windows Test Page or a printer Configuration Report, does it also print at 1/4 size?
- Are you using the printer through USB, Wi‑Fi, or Ethernet?
This information will help us identify whether the behavior is originating from the application, Windows print settings, or the printer driver.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
