My OfficeJet Pro 9018e, which worked incredibly well for more than a year - in completely undiscoverable by my iPhone and MacBook Pro - AND my iMac.   The WiFi is more than adequate - I get solid signal 80 yards away, and the printer is about 20 feet away from the router.  The printer and devices are on exactly the same network.   There was a new WiFi network installed.  Everything else works well on the network except for this printer and one other display.  Any suggestions???

Hi @4EasyAces,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the undiscoverable printer on the new Wi-Fi network!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Reconfigure Network Settings on Printer:

  • Since a new Wi-Fi network was installed, reconfigure the printer's network settings to ensure it connects to the correct network.
  • Access the printer's control panel, and navigate to Setup > Network/Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the prompts to connect the printer to the new network.

Verify Network Connection:

  • Confirm that the printer is connected to the same network as your devices. Check the network name (SSID) on the printer to ensure it matches your other devices.

Restart Printer and Devices:

  • Power off the printer, wait for 15 seconds, and then power it back on. Do the same with your iPhone, MacBook Pro, and iMac.
  • Power cycle your Wi-Fi router to refresh the network connections.

Use HP Smart App Reconfiguration:

  • Reinstall or update the HP Smart app on your devices. Open the app and perform a new printer setup, allowing it to detect the printer on the network.

Check Printer’s IP Address:

  • Print a network configuration report from the printer's settings. Verify the printer’s IP address and ensure it is within the correct subnet of your network.

Disable and Re-enable Wi-Fi:

  • Turn off Wi-Fi on the printer from the control panel and turn it back on to reset the network connection.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer model using the HP Support website as updates can resolve network connectivity issues.

Investigate Network Settings:

  • Check your router settings for any security features that may segment or isolate devices (like MAC filtering or Wireless Isolation) and ensure those settings allow the printer to connect.

Manual IP Configuration:

  • Consider assigning a static IP address to your printer within the router's DHCP range to stabilize its connection with your devices.

I hope this helps.
