Hi @Willow1219,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear your frustration. When a printer refuses to connect to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, it can feel like hitting a brick wall. Let’s break this down and get you printing again:

Step 1: Confirm Printer Capabilities

Most HP printers do not support Bluetooth printing (except for HP Sprocket and some mobile models). They rely on Wi-Fi or USB for connectivity. So if your printer isn’t a Sprocket or Tango, Bluetooth won’t work.

Step 2: Reset Network Settings

  1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings → Network → Restore Network Defaults.
  2. Wait for the printer to restart and clear old Wi-Fi profiles.

Step 3: Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  1. Use the printer’s Wireless Setup Wizard (under Network Settings).
  2. Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password carefully.
    • Make sure you’re on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, as most HP printers don’t support 5 GHz.

Step 4: Add Printer in HP App

  1. Open HP App OR install it from: HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Tap Add Printer → wait for the printer to appear.
  3. If it doesn’t show, tap Set Up a New Printer and follow the prompts.

Step 5: Firmware Update

Once connected, update the printer firmware via the HP App or Official HP® Support.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
