Common problems for Connectivity Issues

I have  anHP2800e printer, not matter how I connect, via WiFi or cable, the printer connects to scan both ways, but not to print.

I understand how frustrating it is when scanning works perfectly, but printing refuses to cooperate. This usually points to a driver or communication issue rather than a hardware fault. Here’s what you can do:

1. Check Default Printer

  • On your PC or Mac, go to Printers & Scanners.
  • Make sure your HP DeskJet 2800e is set as the Default Printer.

 

2. Clear Print Queue

  • Cancel all pending jobs.
  • Restart the Print Spooler service (Windows) or reboot your Mac.

 

3. Update or Reinstall Drivers

 

4. Check HP cApp

  • Open HP app → Printer SettingsDiagnose & Fix.
  • This tool often resolves print-only issues.

 

5. Firmware Update

  • In the HP app, go to Advanced Settings → Printer Update.
  • Install any available updates.

 

6. Connectivity Check

  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure both the printer and the device are on the same network.
  • If using a USB, try a different cable and port.

 

7. Test Print

  • Print a Test Page from the printer’s control panel or HP app.
