will not print but shows it is in ready status. I have restarted my modem, restarted and reset my printer, there is ink in there properly, paper is in and I also tested to make sure it has good connection to my WiFi

Hi @Jenn5683,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY Inspire 7958e printer is in "Ready" status but will not print, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Check Printer Queue
- On your computer, go to the Devices and Printers or Printers & Scanners section in Settings.
- Locate your printer, right-click it, and select See what's printing.
- Clear the print queue by canceling any pending print jobs.
- Try printing again.
Ensure Correct Printer Selection
- Ensure the correct printer is selected as the default printer.
- Right-click your printer in the list of devices and select Set as default printer.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix issues.
Verify Wi-Fi Connection
- Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer's control panel.
- Ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
Check for Software and Driver Updates
- Visit the HP Support website and ensure you have the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Uninstall and reinstall the printer driver if necessary.
Disable Pause/Offline Mode
- Ensure the printer is not set to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline:
- Open the printer's properties.
- Uncheck Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline if selected.
Test with Another Device
- Try printing from another device (e.g., smartphone or tablet) using the HP Smart App.
- If it prints successfully, the issue may lie with your computer setup.

Factory Reset the Printer
- Perform a factory reset:
- Go to the printer's Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Settings.
- Reconfigure the printer on your network.
Run a Diagnostic Test
- Print a Self-Test Page or Quality Diagnostic Page directly from the printer's control panel.
- If it prints, the issue is likely with the communication between your computer and printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
