Unexpectedly my hp printer will not print from my iPhone. Prints fine on my laptop. I have tried serial number and I’m having trouble finding correct IP number.
Thank you.

Hi @NJ419,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your HP printer is not printing from your iPhone but is working fine with your laptop, it could be due to several issues related to the connection or settings. Here are steps to help fix this issue:

Ensure Printer and iPhone Are on the Same Network:

  • Make sure both your iPhone and HP printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is crucial for AirPrint to function properly.

Check Printer's Network Connection:

  • On the printer's display (if equipped), navigate to the network settings to confirm it’s connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • If your printer does not have a display, you can print a network configuration or test page to find the IP address.

Reset Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and turn it back on. This can often resolve minor glitches.

Restart Your iPhone:

  • Restart your iPhone to clear any temporary network issues that may be affecting the connection to the printer.

Update Firmware and iOS:

  • Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. Check HP's support site for any available updates.
  • Make sure your iPhone’s iOS is current as well.

Take care and have an amazing day!
