Hi folks,

Get intermittent warning that printer needs to update.  However, when I try and do this I get "downloading 00%" which sticks for quite a while.  When I cancel it, it reboots and is gone for a short time.  It reappears soon after.

 

Network fine but very frustrating issue.  I have also tried an ethernet cable to no effect.

 

When I try and do this via the HP Smart App, I also get a "downloading updates" which freezes at "0%".

 

Any ideas anyone? Many thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that your printer is stuck, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
