Hi @Maddie58

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Wi-Fi Network:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Other devices should be able to connect without issues.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and the device you are printing from. This can often resolve temporary connection issues.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • On the printer, go to the setup menu, find the network settings, and look for an option to restore network defaults. This will clear any previous configurations.

Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • After resetting, use the printer’s control panel to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure you select the correct network and enter the correct password.

Check Distance and Interference:

  • Ensure the printer is within a reasonable distance from the router and that there are no physical obstructions. Other electronic devices can also cause interference.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. You can find updates on the HP website or through the HP Smart app.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
