Hi @Allanjr,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the password.
If your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw is unable to connect to Wi-Fi due to issues with accepting your Wi-Fi password, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Verify Wi-Fi Password
- Double-Check the Password:
- Ensure you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.
2. Restart Printer and Router
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
Restart Your Router:
- Unplug the router from power, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
3. Use the Wireless Setup Wizard
Access the Printer's Control Panel:
- On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button.
Select Wireless Setup Wizard:
- Navigate to the Setup menu, then select Network Setup, and choose Wireless Setup Wizard.
Choose Your Network:
- The printer will search for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
Enter the Password:
- When prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password carefully.
4. Check Wi-Fi Network Settings
Ensure Your Network is Compatible:
- The printer only supports 2.4 GHz networks. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is operating on this frequency.
Disable MAC Address Filtering:
- If your router has MAC address filtering enabled, it may block the printer from connecting. You can disable this feature temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Allanjr,
Please find the next steps below.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model to check for any available firmware updates.
6. Reset Network Settings
If the printer still cannot connect, you may want to reset its network settings:
Access Network Settings:
- Go to the Setup menu on the printer’s control panel.
Select Restore Network Defaults:
- Look for an option to restore network settings to default.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- After resetting, try connecting to your Wi-Fi network again using the Wireless Setup Wizard.
7. Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
If your router supports WPS, you can connect the printer using this method:
Press WPS Button on Router:
- Locate the WPS button on your router and press it.
Press WPS Button on Printer:
- Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the printer's control panel. This should establish a connection without needing to enter the password.
If you have tried all the above steps and the printer still won’t connect, Let's do an NVRAM reset.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
