HP ENVY 4502 e-All-in-One Printer

Got new wifi and printer won't accept. Says invalid password but I know I submitted it right - LOTS of times. Even deleted printer and reloaded it. Is there anything I need to do on the router too? All on-line "help" messages are the same process I've done over and over again. And, why can't I just talk to an HP customer service person? DO they not exist? Is there phone number a state secret?

Hi @XX91 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration. Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue with your HP ENVY 4502 printer not accepting the new Wi-Fi:

Verify Wi-Fi Credentials: Double-check the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password. Ensure that you are entering the correct information, paying attention to uppercase and lowercase letters. Sometimes, special characters can also cause issues.

Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help refresh the printer's network settings.

Reset Network Settings on Printer: Many printers have a network or wireless settings menu where you can reset the network configuration. Consult your printer's manual to find the specific steps for your model.

Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Check the HP support website for the latest firmware updates for your printer model and follow the instructions to install them.

Router Settings: Access your router settings to make sure that it's broadcasting on the correct Wi-Fi channel and that there are no restrictions for devices to connect. You may also try restarting your router.

Connect Directly with USB: As a temporary solution, you can connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. This can allow you to access the printer settings through your computer and update the Wi-Fi information.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
