Hi @12291,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?
If your HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer is not connecting to Wi-Fi, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Wi-Fi Network and Signal
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and functioning properly. Check if other devices can connect to the network.
- Make sure you are within range of the Wi-Fi router. Walls and obstacles can weaken the signal.
2. Restart Devices
- Restart your printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart your router:
- Unplug the router from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and allow it to reboot.
- Restart your computer or mobile device as well.
3. Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- On the printer control panel, navigate to Setup or Network Settings.
- Look for an option to Restore Network Defaults or Network Reset and confirm the action. This will clear any saved Wi-Fi settings on the printer.
4. Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network
- After resetting, follow these steps to reconnect:
- On the printer, press the Wireless button to enable wireless setup.
- Press the Information button (or the button that prints a network configuration page) to print a network report, which can help you identify your network settings.
- Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel to find and select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully, ensuring it is case-sensitive.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @12291,
Please find the remaining steps below.
5. Check for Software Updates
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up-to-date:
- Download the latest drivers and software from the HP Support website.
- Use the HP Smart app to check for updates if your printer is added to the app.
6. Firewall or Security Settings
- Sometimes, firewall settings on your router may block the printer from connecting. Temporarily disable the firewall or adjust the security settings on your router to see if that helps.
- Ensure the printer is allowed to connect through the network settings of your router.
7. Use Wi-Fi Direct (Optional)
- If all else fails, consider using Wi-Fi Direct to print directly from your mobile device without needing a Wi-Fi connection:
- Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the printer (usually found in the wireless settings).
- Connect your mobile device to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network (it will start with "HP-").
- Print directly using the HP Smart app or from other apps.
8. Check for Error Messages
- If the printer displays any error messages, take note of them as they can provide clues to what might be wrong.
