We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer is set to print PDFs by default, it could be due to incorrect or preferred settings within certain applications or the printer's print dialog box. Here are the steps to change the default print settings and resolve connectivity issues:

Solution: Changing Default Print Settings

Open the Printer Settings:

  • In Windows 11, click the Start button, type "Printers & scanners", and then click to open the Printers & scanners settings.

Select Your Printer:

  • Find HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 from the list of printers, then click it.

Manage Your Printer:

  • Click Manage to open the printer management settings.

Printing Preferences:

  • Click Printing preferences. This will open the printer settings dialog box.

Change Print Settings:

  • In the Printing preferences dialog box, adjust your settings to default to your preferred format (e.g., PDF vs. document). If you are seeing options like "Save as PDF", change it to standard print or your preferred output.

Solution: Resetting Printer Connection

Check Network Connectivity:

  • Ensure both your printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Re-connect the Printer to the Network:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network Settings and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. You may need to enter your Wi-Fi credentials again.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date by checking for updates in the printer’s embedded web server (EWS). To do this, print a Network Configuration page to get the printer's IP address, type the IP address into your web browser to access the EWS, then check for firmware updates under the Web Services tab.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
