Printer won't print from Dell

I have spent over 10 hours with HP and other IT people to try to figure out why my NEW printer will not print from my work laptop - a Dell.  It won't work.  My 13-year old Mac prints fine with it.  This is ridiculous.  And twice, I have been on hold for nearly an hour and when it was finally answered, the person hung up before saying a word.  This is my 5th HP printer, and my last.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
