Welcome to the HP English Community --

That's unfortunate -- it's true that without the requisite password(s), you cannot connect the printer to your other devices.

There are thousands of HP printers -

Without our knowing the model name of your printer, finding the information is slightly more difficult.

The task is doable -- You can check the information for yourself.

There are two main types of passwords that might be used with your printer.

1)  The network password you have assigned to your network - Log into your router to find the password you have assigned to your network.

2)  The printer hardware password -- Find the default PIN for your printer.  The PIN is generally located somewhere on the printer itself.

A possible third kind -- mentioned for completeness:

HP printer setup (Wi-Fi Direct)

Note

For printers that support Wi-Fi Direct, details are explained in the printer's user manual.
