Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After having the problem with my OfficeJet Pro going offline while it still shows a wireless connection at the printer, I noticed on these forums that this is a recurring problem for many users. The HP diagnostic cannot resolve this issue.

HP must have some fix for this issue but it is impossible to communicate with them.

I would hope that someone on this forum has a known solution to recovering the connection. Problem seems to be in the Smart Printing module.

I don't know if it is possible to dump this and go back to the old Microsoft method of just designating a default printer?
