Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

VikramTheGreat made a noble effort to solve my problem, but I was unsuccesfull because I

can't switch my Modem from 5GHz to 2.4GHz.  Checked with my Provider on this.  My Printer does not have "Wake on Print" option.  Also does not have the Preferencesn Energy Settings to Turn On Network Ready Mode Wake on LAN/Wake on Print.  My Chromebook will work for a period of time with the Printer, but suddenly message will come up, "Printer Not Available," although it will show the Printer that was previsouly discovered and used, but will have the "not Available" message showln in red.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.  Don.  kdkemin@**bleep**.com

If this is a WiFi issue, your best option is to connect the printer to the modem with a Cat5 cable.

I am actually surprised that there is no method or flexibility in the programming of your provider's wifi equipment. Can you share the model number of the modem/router you are using. It would not be the first time that I have seen a provider simply say it is not possible because they do not want to spend the time setting it up.
