My HP Neverstop prints just fine from my Dell PC using Windows 10.
When I try to print from my Dell PC using Windows 11, I have to open the printer app and run troubleshooting before it will print.
Why????

Hi @Lari-Lang
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the printing issues:
Update Drivers: Ensure you have the latest drivers for the printer installed on your Windows 11 PC. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
Check Printer Settings: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners on your Windows 11 PC. Select your HP Neverstop printer and make sure it's set as the default printer. You may also want to check the printing preferences to ensure everything is configured correctly.
Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 11 installation is fully updated. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues with hardware.
HP Smart App: If you haven’t already, try using the HP Smart app to manage your printer. It can help with setup and troubleshooting and might resolve connection issues.
Reinstall the Printer:
- Remove the printer from the Printers & scanners settings.
- Restart your PC.
- Re-add the printer to see if this resolves the issue.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor: This tool can diagnose and fix printing problems automatically. Download it from the HP website and run it to see if it identifies any issues.
Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Windows 11 PC. If there are network issues, this could cause printing problems.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, security software can interfere with printing. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, add exceptions for the printer software.
Print Spooler Service: Make sure the Print Spooler service is running. You can check this by typing "services.msc" in the Windows search bar, finding "Print Spooler," and ensuring it's running. You can restart it as well.
Unistall and reinstall thr printer software, click here
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
