HP Smart says my printer is offline, but shows online and already set the printer up on another laptop on same network.  Tried to uninstall this software and error is received that there are three separate IPs with printjobs pending.  I do not have these IPs anymore!  Such a waste.  Nothing I do will get these printjobs to release, considering I am on that IP scheme anymore and HP is too cheap to provide service.  Its not a WARRANTY ISSUE HP!  Its your software thats the issue.

Case submission is primarily directed at those whose devices are still in Warranty.

For the rest of us, this is not an option.

HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices.

Our Community is not HP Support; we do offer help free of charge.

One idea

If you have not done so, check to be sure Print Service is not stuck.

Print Queue / Print Service Reset

After a print job has been submitted, it is very quickly turned over the Windows Print Services for completion.

When a job is "stuck in the queue", it is sometimes due to Print Services having hung, become stuck, or otherwise failing to properly complete the job.

Start Here:  Print job stuck in Queue

and / or

If the current print job will not cancel or if a previous print job is stuck in the queue,

and

If the issue is due to Print Services being stuck / hung / corrupted, Restart the Print Service

Manual Queue Reset

Details…

Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services

Scroll down, find, Right-Click, and Stop Print Spooler Service

Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)

Navigate to the folder and Delete the files from folder C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS

Start Print Spooler Service

What else?

HP Smart might be running as expected on that USB connection between the printer and the computer.

If you have not done so, consider installing Full Feature Software

HP LaserJet Pro P1100, P1560, P1600 Series Full Feature Software and Driver

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
