Excellent description and a great diagnosis are done. It is greatly appreciated.

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document fix :-

1. On your mobile device, download the HP Smart app from 123.hp.com.

2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

3. From the app home screen, tap the Plus sign.

4. Tap Looking for Wi-Fi Direct Printers.

   

5. Select your printer from the list.

   

6. Tap Connect to the printer.

7. If prompted, enter the Wi-Fi Direct password, and then tap Connect.

   

8. Wait for the connection to complete.

9. If the printer does not automatically display on the app home screen, tap the Plus sign again, and then select the printer from the list.

   

10. On the app home screen, select Print Photos or Print Documents, select the item you want to print, and then tap Print.

11. After the print job completes, open your Wi-Fi network menu, and then reconnect to your local network.

Print with Wi-Fi Direct using HP Print Service Plugin (Android)

Send a print job using a direct wireless connection between your printer and an Android phone or tablet using the HP Print Service Plugin. Complete these steps while next to the printer.

1. On your mobile device, go to HP Print Service Plugin in the Google Store, and then make sure it is installed and up to date.

2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

3. Open the item you want to print, and then tap Print.

4. On the print preview screen, select your printer with DIRECT in the name.

   

5. Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password, if prompted.

6. To confirm the connection, go to the printer and press OK, the blinking Wi-Fi Direct button, or the blinking Information button .

7. Wait for the connection to complete, and then tap Print on the print prev
