OMG, I've been fighting with my printer for over a week. There has GOT to be a way to setup and use this printer without an outside wi-fi connection, It won't acknowledge the hotspot on my android phone.

HP Support was useless! They said I either need a router or a wifi connection. I don't have either.

Please, someone help me to set this thing up so it will work with my phone. If not, I have no choice but to return it.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Reset the wireless and then try to setup using HP Smart with a Win 10 computer (using the phone as a hotspot).
