Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have a HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201dw Printer, which I bought last January, and it's connected wirelessly to my home network.  I normally leave it turned on, ready to print.  While it prints OK most of the time, it has the following issues:

1.  Occasionally it goes offline by itself, and requires me to power off and on again before it will print.

2.  I get occasional 'Critical System Errors', again requiring a power cycle to clear.  The last two had codes:

-  F0.01.01.04

-  CD.29.B1.0B

...  but there have been others earlier that I didn't note.

I haven't been able to determine what event caused these errors, if any.

Can anyone either suggest what the problem is, or advise how I can proceed with further diagnosis.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  These errors could be resolved by updating and using the latest firmware.,

Here's how to  to update the Firmware for the printer:

Hope that helps!

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I have already updated the firmware (to 6.28.1.47-202603112313) and it is apparently the current version.  The errors pre- and post-dated the new FW update, so it seems that isn't the cause of my problem.

Since this printer has been behaving like this from new, I'm wondering whether there is some other fault in the printer.  But I don't know how to determine whether that's the case, or how to find it.

Am I getting to the point where I need to contact HP Support - this printer is still under warranty, so I would hope they can help me?  What would they be able to do?
