I have a problem like this. It's about compatibility. My Vodafone Power Hub generates two signals 5Ghz and2.4Ghz simultaneously but the HP ENVY only likes 2.4Ghz so gets confused and can't connect. The answer is to create a COMPATIBILITY NETWORK only on 2.4Ghz. Research this compatibility idea as I

 I think it may help you. Your Broadband Provider may have the answer for you.

I made my network using the Vodafone Broadband App - your provider should have a similar app.

 

Until I switched broadband providers I had never encountered such a problem in over 40 years!. I think it's a modern problem and the old-fashioned tech is probably better.
