We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I’m having the same problem with an HP Smart Tank 7605 on a Mac.
I’ve followed the instructions above, but nothing has helped.
Even when I run the printer update via the printer’s menu, the printer displays an error message.

@GuVe Thank you so much for posting your query

Could you please follow the below steps to factory reset the printer and let us know if it helps in resolving the issue?

Restore printer factory defaults:

Restore your printer to the default factory settings using the HP app or internet browser to open the printer Embedded Web Server (EWS). Restoring factory defaults can help resolve printer setup issues, connectivity problems, and error messages.

  1. Open the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the printer IP address.

  2. From the EWS home page, click the Settings or System tab.

  3. If you are prompted to log in or enter the printer PIN, enter admin for the username (HP LaserJets only), enter the PIN from the printer label, and then click Submit or OK. This label is typically located inside the cartridge access area or printer door.

  4. Restore your printer to factory defaults.

    • For most HP printers, click Restore Factory Defaults or Factory under Restore Defaults. Click Restore Factory Defaults > Yes.

    • For HP LaserJet printers, click Service, and then click Restore defaults > OK.

After about 20 seconds, your printer automatically restarts.

  5. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network, if necessary.

  6. Check for any printer firmware updates.

Have a great day ahead!

I'm an HP Employee.

@Megahan_10 Thank you for your help.

I followed the instructions to perform a factory reset, but unfortunately that didn’t solve the problem.
When I try to update the printer directly on the printer itself, it says that the printer cannot reach the server.

This is the error message that appears on my computer:

Apart from the issue with the firmware update, the printer is working as expected.

I also connected the printer wired as a test, but the problem remains.
