Hi, I have a HP OfficeJet 8015 printer and control panel totally stuck and won't return to normal home setting to enable set up of wifi so cannot connect to internet - blue wifi light off!

Tried cold reset - switched printer off, then removed power lead at back then removed power plug from wall. Held down printer power on/off button on for over 30 secs

Then replaced power plug in wall, plugged power lead back into back of printer then powered on, but on screen control panel display read cartridges need connection to HP Instant Ink- pressed hide - as this only option offered, but then continuous loop of attempting print head alignment & still no internet wifi set up possible as no options available on control panel!

 

Help - need to reset printer to get back to control panel settings page!

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

Hi again Sandy - so I assume therte is no way I can completely factory or otherwise reset my 8015?

I no longer can use the control panel as it goes into a loop and then sticks on 'print alignment' display!

So I cannot carry out the 'BL' steps you suggest as no communication with panel possible!
