If your refurbished HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e does not have the option to restore network settings directly, you can try these alternative methods to reset or restore network connectivity:

  1. Restore Network Settings via the Control Panel:

    • Using Control Panel:
      • Menus and Touchscreens: If the printer has a touchscreen, go to the home screen.
      • From the home screen, navigate to Setup or Settings.
      • Look for Network Setup or Wireless Settings.
      • Select Restore Network Settings
      • Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart.
  2. Factory Reset:

    • Performing a factory reset may restore network settings along with other printer settings:
      • Access the printer's settings or setup menu.
      • Look for an option called Restore Defaults, Reset All Settings, or Restore Factory Defaults.
      • Confirm your selection and follow any additional prompts.
      • Note: This will erase all custom printer settings, so use this option if you are okay with starting fresh.
  3. Reset using HP Smart App:

    • Download and install the HP Smart App on your computer or smartphone.
    • Use the app to connect to the printer and look for network or setup options.
    • Follow instructions to reset network settings using the app.
  4. Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

    • If the printer supports WPS and your router has a WPS button:
      • Press the WPS button on your router.
      • Within two minutes, press the Wireless button on your printer.
      • This should reconnect the printer to your network without needing to manually restore settings.
  5. Disconnected Mode:

    • You can manually disconnect and forget the current network to potentially reset connectivity:
      • Access Wireless or Network from the printer menu.
      • Choose to disconnect or forget current network settings.
      • Reconnect to your Wi-Fi by entering credentials afresh.

Kindly let us know if the suggested steps help fix the issue. We’re always here to support you.
