I lost the username and password for the 'Embedded Web Server' of my HP Smart Tank 519 printer. I tried restoring printer factory defaults from the printer control panel. As;
While holding (the Power button), press and hold (the Black Copy button) and (the Resume
button) at the same time, until (spinning wheel) appears on the display.
I attempted using 'Admin' as the username and leaving the password blank, but still couldn't access it.
I can connect & print but I cannot access EWS settings

Hi @xharon,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've tried the basic steps to reset your HP Smart Tank 519 printer and access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), but it hasn't worked as expected. HP printers usually have a method to restore access to the EWS, but specifics can vary from model to model. If the usual reset procedures and default login credentials do not work, here are some additional steps you might consider:
Check for Specific Instructions in the User Manual: Sometimes, there are model-specific instructions for resetting the printer or accessing the EWS that might differ slightly from general guidance. If you haven't already, reviewing the user manual for the HP Smart Tank 519 could provide some insights.
Update Printer Firmware: If possible, update your printer's firmware to the latest version. Sometimes, access issues can be resolved with a firmware update. You might be able to do this directly from the printer if it's connected to the internet, or you may need to download the firmware from the HP website and apply it using a USB connection.
Use HP Smart App or Software: If you haven't already, try using the HP Smart app on your smartphone or the HP software on your computer. These tools might provide an alternative way to access and manage your printer settings, including the EWS.
Please follow the steps :
To restore the printer factory settings or network settings from the embedded web server (EWS) 1. Open the embedded web server (EWS).
2. Click the Settings tab.
3. Click Restore Defaults, and select the option to restore the factory default settings or network settings.
4. Click the button on the selected page to continue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
