Hi @DaddyDar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reset the embedded web server password on an HP Deskjet 3772 printer, you can follow these steps.

Note: Resetting the embedded web server password will require you to access the printer's web interface, which should be done on a computer that is connected to the same network as the printer.

Connect to the Printer: Ensure that your computer is connected to the same wireless network as your HP Deskjet 3772 printer.

Find the Printer's IP Address: You will need the printer's IP address to access its web interface. You can usually find this information by printing a network configuration page from the printer. Here's how:

  • a. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button (it looks like a Wi-Fi symbol) and the Information button (it looks like a lowercase 'i') simultaneously. This should print a network configuration page.
  • b. Locate the IP address on the printed page. It should be listed as "IP Address."

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS): Open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. Press "Enter" to access the printer's embedded web server.

Log In: By default, there is no password set for the embedded web server. Try leaving the password field empty and click "Log In" or "Sign In." If this doesn't work, try using "admin" as the username and leaving the password field empty.

Reset the Password: Once you've logged into the embedded web server, navigate to the "Security" or "Settings" section. Look for an option to change or reset the password.

Create a New Password: Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new password for the embedded web server. Make sure to choose a strong and secure password.

Save the Changes: After you've set the new password, save the changes.

Log Out: It's essential to log out of the embedded web server to ensure security. There should be a "Log Out" or "Sign Out" option. Click it to log out.

Now, your HP Deskjet 3772 printer's embedded web server should have a new password. Make sure to keep this password secure, as it allows access to various printer settings and configurations.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
