HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer

We had to change our wireless network and was getting the error that admin would not allow changes on the printer display.  Per instructions on forum, I attempted a partial reset of the printer and am now getting a 0XB824398 error.  On the forum it says to restart pressing the wireless and resume button.  But there is no resume button.  How can I reset my printer to factory defaults to re-setup the printer from scratch?

Hi @YCW22,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 printer. To reset it to factory default settings, you can try the following steps.

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to a minute.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer by pressing the Power button.
  • While the printer is turning on, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously for about 5 seconds. There may not be a specific "Resume" button on your model.
  • Release the buttons when the printer starts initializing, and you see the lights blinking.
  • The printer should now reset to its factory default settings.

Please note that this process will erase all the custom settings and configurations, so you'll need to set up the printer on your new wireless network again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden4, my printer does not have a cancel button.  But I tried the below with every available button and it did not work.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you
