Can anyone please help me to reconnect to my home network? We installled a new Xfinity modem yesterday for internet access, and I am trying to reset the printer to this new modem. My computer and all smart TVs are connected, but the printer network settings will not reset. Been at this all afternoon. Any help would be appreciated

Hi @CHGofcjet9200
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the network settings on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 and reconnect it to your new Xfinity modem, follow these steps:
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer’s control panel, tap on the Home button.
- Navigate to Setup (the gear icon).
- Scroll down and select Network or Network Setup.
- Choose Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings. Confirm the reset when prompted.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- After resetting, go back to the Network menu.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.
- Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
Use the HP Smart App (optional):
- If you have the HP Smart app installed on your computer or smartphone, you can use it to set up the printer on your network.
- Open the app, add your printer, and follow the prompts to connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.
Test the Connection:
- Once reconnected, print a network configuration page to verify the printer is connected to the correct network.
- To do this, go to the printer’s control panel, navigate to Setup, then Reports, and select Network Configuration Page.
Check Firewall Settings:
- If the printer still has trouble connecting, check your Xfinity modem/router settings to ensure that it’s not blocking the printer. Look for any firewall settings that may prevent new devices from connecting.
Reboot Devices:
- Sometimes, rebooting your printer and modem can help establish the connection. Unplug both for about a minute, then plug them back in.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
