Reset printer password

Hello,  I cannot remember my HP Color Laserjet MFP M283fdw password. We moved and I am trying to set it up but it requires a password to change any settings. We are complete locked out.

What is the process to reset the printer to factory defaults with the administrator password set?  I tried the other recommended reset instructions but it requires the password, which I do not remember.

• The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
• I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
