Hi @Rentiannn ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're unable to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of your HP DeskJet 2621 printer with the default admin password, you may need to perform a factory reset to restore it to its original settings.
Here's how you can do it:
- Turn on the printer: Make sure your printer is powered on.
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously: Locate the Wireless and Cancel buttons on your printer. Press and hold both buttons at the same time. Hold them until the Power light starts blinking.
- Release the buttons: Once the Power light starts blinking, release the Wireless and Cancel buttons. The printer will begin the reset process, and the Power light will continue to blink for a few seconds.
- Wait for the reset to complete: Allow the printer to finish the reset process. This may take a minute or two.
- Access the EWS: Once the reset is complete, you should be able to access the EWS using the default admin password, which is usually "admin".
- Configure settings: After logging in, you can configure your printer settings as needed.
Keep in mind that performing a factory reset will erase any custom settings you have configured on the printer, so you may need to reconfigure your printer settings after the reset.
If you're still unable to access the EWS after performing the factory reset,
Refer to this document: HP DeskJet 2621 All-in-One Printer User manual
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
