Hi @PattieH,

I'd like to help!

I understand that printer does not go into sleep mode.

Try the below suggestions-

Try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Change the time to Sleep mode

1. Find out the IP address or hostname of the printer by pressing the Information button to print an Information page.

NOTE: The printer must be on a network and must have an IP address.

2. In a supported web browser on your computer, type the IP address or hostname assigned to the printer. For example, if the IP address is 123.123.123.123, type the following address into the web browser: http://123.123.123.123.

3. Click the Settings tab.

4. In the Power Management section, click Energy Saver Mode, and select the desired option.

NOTE: If prompted for a password, enter the PIN from the label on your printer. It might be near the cartridge access area inside the printer or on the back, side, or bottom of the printer.

5. Click Apply

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
