Scan to Network Drive - cannot verify access - HP Support Community

Trying to set up the printer to scan to a shared network drive but it keeps giving me errors. It says the UNC is invalid (it is correct and I also tried the IP address, which is also correct). The user name and PW are also correct (I just used them to log in from my PC). It wither rejects the address or if it accepts it (not clear why it sometimes takes it and sometimes not) it is unabkle to verify

Printer is connected via ethernet. It is a home network with a EERO router.

DNS on the printer? My server DNS is fine. Where does one adjust DNS on the printer?

DNS settings are under the network settings tab in the Embedded web server. Unfortunately I do not know the model of printer you have so I cannot provide specific information.
