Scan to email

I am trying to scan to email and it says the account/password is wrong. So i added a new outgoing mail profile with my personal email and it says “unable to connect to the printer. Check your configurations and try again”. It is a hotmail account, configured smpt.live.com port 587, username and password are for sure correct. Any ideas?

A such may occur due to using unsupported security settings for your account, please try creating and using an app password instead of your standard password:

Please let me know if that helps, else please clarify what exact settings are currently used

for your profile ( server address, port, Ssl/TlS, etc.)

That is the error message i get when i follow the link to the additional security page to add an app password.

So i have created an app password, but the issue with my outlook is that it won’t connect to the printer. It accepts the password and username but says to check my configurations when i try to test it
