Scanning via SANE on Ubuntu fails due to HTTP error 403 from HP OfficeJet Pro 8024e

Using SANE on Ubuntu gives the following error:

scanimage -d 'hpaio:/net/HP_OfficeJet_Pro_8020_series?ip=10.0.0.171' --format tiff -o bla

Reason is that the Printer/Scanner return an http 403 after POSTing to:

Shameless bump. I have the same problem but another printer model and Linux distributions (OpenSUSE Leap 15.4 & Leap 15.5).

Scanning worked like a charm before from different computers with different linux distributions. But it stopped working for several weeks by now. My printer has 'automatic updates' enabled. I'm pretty sure it's the last firmware update of the printer which causes this problem, because i didn't changed anything on the client side (no updates for hplip-sane && sane-backends, i even downgraded both packages to test it but it is still not working) and the date when the problem occured loosely coincides with the firmware build-date:
