Hi @Ramiamir,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A "server connection error" on your HP Envy 5070 printer usually means there is an issue with the connection between your printer and the HP servers, which is often related to cloud services or printer setup. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Check Your Internet Connection:
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly and that other devices can connect to the internet.
- Restart your router or modem if needed.
2. Verify Printer Connection to Wi-Fi:
- Make sure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to "Settings" > "Network" or "Wireless" to check the connection status.
3. Restart Printer and Router:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart your router/modem as well.
4. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues.
- You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support website.
5. Reconnect Printer to HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- If your printer appears in the app with a connection error, try removing it and adding it again:
- Go to "Printers" > select your printer > "Manage Printer" > "Remove Printer".
- Follow the prompts to re-add the printer.
6. Reconfigure Printer Setup:
- If you initially set up your printer using HP Smart or the printer's web interface, try reconfiguring the printer:
- Open the HP Smart app or visit the printer’s IP address through a web browser.
- Follow the instructions to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network and HP services.
7. Perform a Factory Reset (if needed):
- If the problem persists, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer to restore it to its default settings:
- Go to the printer’s control panel, navigate to "Setup" > "Printer Maintenance" > "Restore Defaults".
- Note that this will erase all settings and you’ll need to set up the printer again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
