I have had my printer 8130e series All In One for close to a year, It was set up properly upon installation of the printer. Now it is giving me a "Setup Incomplete" message on my face board on the printer. It is stating that "It has features or services that require it to be registered to an HP account" How do I get rid of this message premanently?

You must have signed up for some internet functions such as print over email or print to the 8130 from anywhere on the internet. The printer must have lost its connection to the internet. If you have an ink subscription then that will also cause the error.
If your printer model ends in the letter 'e' then click the spoiler for special needs.
Click Spoiler if you have a new router, have not reset the printer, and nothing else changed.
| New ISP, same old printers, PCs and smartphones: Log into the modem or router and change the SSID (names) of each band so the names are different. Create a numeric password identical for each band to simplify login. If you must use alphanumeric characters then do not use any from this set: ilL1aoO0D8B5S as they are easily mixed up depending on the font used. Be sure to run the application (if any) that finds the best channel for each band. Your ISP should be able to do all of this for you if you need help. If you configure the new router with:
Your printer may reconnect automatically. However, your PC may have an old IP address, but you can always tell the PC to find the printer, and it will obtain the new IP address. |
Possibly the problem is the HP App. Did you switch from HP Smart to the new HP App? That app requires that you have an HP account and it I(The APP) needs to be online to print.
