Hi @Fungi1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you cannot connect your HP printer to Wi‑Fi. Try these steps:

Check the printer status

  • Make sure the printer is turned on and not in sleep mode.

  • Confirm the wireless signal/light is on. If it is off or blinking, the printer is not connected.

Move the printer closer

  • Place the printer closer to your Wi‑Fi router to improve signal strength.

Reconnect the printer to Wi‑Fi

  • Touchscreen printers: Open Setup, Network, or Wireless settings, select Wireless Setup Wizard, then choose your network and enter the password.

  • Printers without a touchscreen: Press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds or until the wireless light flashes. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the router until the connection starts.

  • HP DeskJet 6000/6400, ENVY 6000/6400, and Tango printers: Press and hold the Wi‑Fi button and the Power button on the back of the printer for 5 seconds until the blue bar flashes. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router.

Restart devices

  • Restart the printer and your computer or mobile device.

  • If Wi‑Fi is slow or unstable, restart the router too.

Reset wireless settings (HP Tango)

  • On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the Edge lighting flashes blue.

  • Then reconnect using the HP app or WPS.

Print a wireless test report

  • This can help identify what is blocking the connection.

Restore Wi‑Fi setup mode

  • If setup still fails, restore Wi‑Fi setup mode and try setup again.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
