I honestly cannot think of a device I've had that was such a horrible, broken and downright frustrating experience as setting up a M15W LaserJet. I am convinced the developers who created the app have never tested it with a M15w, because it just does not work with this printer. Nor do I think the document writers have ever seen an M15w because the steps in the 'Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer' had so many contradictory, confusing and just downright incorrect statements in them, I don't know where to start. The light patterns in the document do not match what you see on the printer. The document that tells you how to perform a network reset does not even list the M15W!! When you click on 'other', it mentions buttons the M15w does not even have. How is this all so bad?? Why do I have to search online to find out how to change a wifi password? Why is the documentation wrong? Why does the app never connect?

 

May I suggest someone at HP tries to connect this specific model to a wifi network using the app and also runs through the steps for reconnecting to a new wifi network. The only success I've had was a manual usb connection with the Windows driver to form the initial connection. Somehow I also got WPS to work once (the instructions say to 'press and hold the wifi button until it flashes' despite the wifi button ALREADY FLASHING WHEN YOU TURN THE PRINTER ON).

 

If I go to the product page and click on 'Setup your printer' it goes to an empty page with just a feedback link form!? If I click on 'Software & Drivers' it tells me it was unable to find any. If I click on 'Blinking lights' it throws up a page error lol, your support page is just as broken as the printer.

 

What a horrible product/experience.
