I have a perfectly working 5105 printer. I need to share printing service with my wife. Tried to add her mail address in the "users" list (HP-Smart console) and I received this message:
****@*** is already assigned to a personal account and may not be assigned to another personal account at the present time. For more information, contact HP Support.

How can I give to her user the permission to scan/print?
Thanks

Hi @ab20240905,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with sharing your Printer with another user.

Please follow the below steps to add an user to your account:

1. Verify Account Details

  • Ensure that your wife’s email address is not associated with another HP Smart account. She may need to use a different email address if it’s already linked to another HP Smart account.

2. Share Access via HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Select your printer from the list of available printers.
  • Go to Printer Settings or Printer Management.
  • Look for an option like Printer Sharing or Manage Access.
  • Enter your wife’s email address and send the invitation to share access.

3. Check Email and Accept Invitation

  • Your wife should check her email for the invitation to access the printer.
  • She needs to accept the invitation using the link provided in the email.

4. Use a Shared Account

  • If her email address is indeed tied to another account and you’re unable to resolve it, consider creating a new email address for her and using that for sharing the printer.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
